Hello, my name is Jacquie. I am a 15-year-old girl who loves doing outdoor activities and hang out with friends. One of my favorite things to do is ride horses. I have been riding for about 5 years, and for the last 3.5 years I have been riding competitively in local rodeos. Some other things I enjoy doing are drawing, playing volleyball, reading, and a few other things. I usually keep to myself, focus on my studies, and try my best to stay out of trouble. So far Media studies have been super fun and educational. We have learned so many new things including different camera angles, different kinds of focus, and how to take a deeper look into videos and short films. I have learned so much in media studies and now have a whole new perspective on the work that goes into making films. During the creation of my portfolio, I hope to gain a better understanding of how a blog works and what you can use it for. I mainly want to focus on getting a better understanding on the importance of a blog and its benefits as well as how to properly identify camera angles. 

I chose this image because I felt that it was a good representation of an outdoor life with a girl who loves horses and the camera represents a love for media studies.
